Exploration and Environmental Geophysics

In the Exploration and Environmental Geophysics (EEG) group we develop new methods for acquisition and processing of geophysical data for exploration and environmental applications. A significant part of the group is concerned with 3D surface and borehole seismic data. We also research 2D and 3D georadar, resistivity and magnetic methods. In addition, a major effort in the group's activities is directed towards research on physics of wave propagation in heterogeneous media, wave-equation based acquisition, and waveform modelling and inversion methods for exploration and environmental geophysics applications.

Our group is also responsible for the external pageJoint Masters in Applied Geophysicscall_made programme and hosts the students during their second semester, and some for their fourth semester thesis projects.
